The Friday Funny: LEGO Datacenter at TechEd 2012

With Microsoft TechEd 2013 North America a little over a week away, we started to feel a bit nostalgic for last year’s show. Lots of now-important Microsoft products like Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8 hadn’t been released yet, so the show was buzzing about the upcoming significant Windows server and client OS updates.

One of the more memorable visual highlights of the show (in addition to the ‘Project Detroit’ Ford Mustang) was Microsoft’s LEGO model of an Office 365 data center. Sarah Lamb from Microsoft Technet UK shot some video of the datacenter at TechEd Europe that shows container-shipped servers, busy server administrators, and a cobweb-choked customer server room, all made out of hundreds of thousands of individual LEGO bricks.

Can someone reboot the server? (Expert LEGO brick-building skills may be required.)
