We’re Hiring! Wanted: Windows Server Management and Virtualization Bloggers

 

The Petri IT Knowledgebase is hiring! We currently have two open positions, both focused on Microsoft Windows Server. We’re looking for experts in Windows Server administration and Windows Server virtualization. Both positions are part-time, contract positions that don’t require applicants to live in a specific location.

We’re looking for applicants who have writing experience, have already had IT-related work published, and/or have their own blogs. Most importantly, we’re looking for people who have hands-on, real-world, in-the-trenches experience with making the Microsoft Windows Server platform roll over, play dead, and beg for treats. Bonus points if you also have relevant industry certifications (MCSE, MCT, etc.) or industry recognition (Microsoft MVP, etc.).

Windows Server Administration Blogger
Are you an IT professional who has extensive, hands-on experience with the Microsoft Windows Server product family? Can you recite the differences between Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 in your sleep? And do you know – at a glance – what the acronyms AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO, UAC, and ReFS stand for? Do you also like to write – perhaps you have your own blog, or you’ve had technical articles published before – and you’re active on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, G+, and LinkedIn? If so, we’d like to talk to you.

The Windows Server (General Administration) Blogger will post news analysis, opinion, and both short- and long-form technical how-to content about Microsoft’s Windows Server product families, as well as provide regular tips and suggestions to help readers get the most out of the Windows Server platform. This position will focus on general administration for Windows Server, including deployment, management, security, patching, upgrades. Applicant should also be well versed and knowledgeable about Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Networking, and other Windows Server features and technologies. Apply for this position.

Windows Server Virtualization / Hyper-V Blogger
Are you an IT professional who has extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, App-V, Med-V, and other Microsoft virtualization and private cloud tools and technologies? Do you know the differences between the versions of Hyper-V technology introduced in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012? Have you deployed, managed, secured, and migrated thousands of virtual machines using Microsoft virtualization products, technologies, and services? Are you familiar with server virtualization, desktop virtualization, application virtualization, and virtual desktop infrastructure?

Do you also like to write and are active on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, G+, and LinkedIn? If so, we’d like to talk to you. The Windows Server (Virtualization and Private Cloud) Blogger will post the latest news and analysis of Microsoft’s virtualization and private cloud efforts, as well as provide regular tips and suggestions to help readers get the most out of those platforms.
