M365 Changelog: Important changes to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform predefined and imported Solution security role updates

MC394237 – Microsoft previously announced a feature that would allow administrators to update predefined Dataverse security roles’ privileges and imported Solution security role’s privileges, and the changes are retained. This announcement was communicated under Message Center post MC391928.

Following additional internal discussions, Microsoft has decided to make further modifications to this feature. To perform these modifications, the company has reverted this change.

How does this affect me?
Any updates made to your predefined Dataverse security roles’ privileges or imported Solution security role’s privileges, will be reverted to system settings after system/solution updates.

Microsoft recommends reviewing any changes to Dataverse security roles’ privileges made in relation to this change.
