M365 Changelog: OneDrive: New Command Bar
MC285602 – Updated January 20, 2022: Microsoft has updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
With this update users will be able to easily identify the right file and access primary commands. The new simplified view will permit users to focus on the content while at the same time being visually pleasing.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 85602.
When this will happen:
- Targeted release (entire org): Will begin rolling out in mid-September and expect to be complete in early February (previously late September).
- Standard release: Will begin rolling out in early-February (previously September) and expect to be complete mid-February (previously mid-January).
Note: Some users may see this feature before other users within your organization.
How this will affect your organization
Users who interact with the OneDrive/SharePoint web viewer will easily find primary commands they usually interact with.

You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
