M365 Changelog: OneDrive Sync Client support for DWG file Version History

MC240302 – This release will update OneDrive Sync client to support Version History for DWG files.

When this will happen

This will begin rolling out in mid-February 2021 and will be completed by late February 2021.

How this will affect your organization

Users on Sync client build version 21.016 or greater, will no longer experience issues with loss of Version History when using DWG files backed by Sync client on both Windows and Mac.

Old version Sync client history only shows 1 entry representing latest change, all previous versions were lost while new version history shows all versions.

Old version ODSP web history only shows 1 entry representing latest change, all previous versions were lost while new version history shows all versions.

You might want to notify your users about this new capability and update your training and documentation as appropriate.
